About Flywga

Flywga is an independent magazine about flying and travel in the United States, published at flywga.org.

We explain the parts of air travel that airlines and airports describe in their own language: what the codes on a boarding pass mean, why a crew times out, what a Part 150 noise study can and cannot do, how long a connection really needs to be. Alongside that we cover travel on the ground in Arizona and the wider Southwest, because that is where this domain has always pointed.

What we are not

Flywga is not an airport, an airline, a travel agency or a government body. We do not sell tickets, we do not take bookings and we cannot answer operational questions about any airport. In particular we are not connected with Phoenix–Mesa Gateway Airport or the Phoenix–Mesa Gateway Airport Authority. Between 1999 and 2006 this domain was used by Williams Gateway Airport, and the pages from that period are kept in our Gateway Archive as a historical record, clearly marked as such.

How the magazine is put together

Articles are written in-house from primary sources: federal rules, airport documents, carrier conditions of carriage and published research. Photographs come from Wikimedia Commons and are credited to their authors with the licence under every picture. Where a number can change — a fee, a limit, a deadline — we say where it comes from so a reader can check it before relying on it.
